Series 2 of Kasalan sa Barangay Successful

After the much participated Kasalan sa Barangay in celebration of the Barangay Anniversary held last September 21, 2011 at Barangay Apopong, another mass weddding was held last January 15, 2012 at the Purok 1 Sto. Niño as part of the celebration of Patronal Fiesta for Senyor Santo Niño.



The said mass wedding is the first for Apopong for the year 2012, was officiated by the Honorable City Mayor Darlene Antonino-Custodio. Ten couples from different puroks of Sto. Niño participated the mass wedding. During the celebration unity among the community was greatly evident through the leadership of the Purok Chairperson Ponciano Cimagala.

The newly pronounced couple are:

2. Mr. and Mrs. James Val E. Cimagala
3. Mr. and Mrs. Edison G. Meliton
4. Mr. and Mrs. Alan B. Llido
5. Mr. and Mrs. Bonnie F. Lazan
6. Mr. and Mrs. John Val Cimagala
7. Mr. and Mrs. Roland T. Pangalo
8. Mr. and Mrs. Ronel B. Tagpuno
9. Mr. and Mrs. Lowel Dedal
10. Mr and Mrs. Richard A. Olarte



The kasalan was made possible and successful by: Purok 1 Sto. Niño Apopong, City Mayors Office, Local Civil Registrar-Marriage License Division, City Population and Management Office -GSC, General Services Office -GSC and the Barangay Council of Apopong.

APOPONG ANNUAL INVESTMENT PLANNING FOR 2011

September 29, 2010 - Twenty Plus volunteers answered the invitation for the conduct of the mandatory Barangay Annual Investment Planning of Barangay Apopong for the Calendar Year 2011. Together with the representatives from City Budget Office, City Planning Office and City Engineering's Office, representatives from the sectors of Womens, Senior Citizen, Business, Academe, Youth, Purok Leaders are among who came  to create an AIP or the Annual Investment Plan of the barangay.

 The Annual Investment Plan (AIP) of a local government unit is the one-year component of a medium / long term development plan articulating the priorities and thrusts of the local government. Government investments involve the use of public money and should be geared to advancing the socio-economic, political and cultural life of the people and increasing the value of assets of the community.

·    The group made sure that the AIP is anchored on proper and equitable resource allocation for the benefit of the greatest number of people especially women, children, and other vulnerable sector. Before the month of October ends, a copy of the AIP shall be furnished to the City Budget Office and City Planning Office.
