Panunumpa sa Katungkulan

They may not be read and/or seen in the Local Government Code, Purok Officials played a vital role in keeping peace and order in the neighborhood they lead. The officials are the Front Liners of the Government in delivering its services. This is pure volunteerism given the fact that they are not being paid for the services they give to their neighbors. An applause for the new Purok Leaders of Apopong! May you work for the good of the majority and not for a few!

APOPONG URBAN RACE YEAR 3

Run. Think. Run.

The scorching heat of the sun served as aphrodisiac for the extremely eager racers, making them run and race like mad men around Barangay Apopong one Saturday afternoon of September 2010 (18th to be exact).

Eight competing teams are composed of three members (ALL MALE this year). The leg started with a swimming task at Olaer Spring Resort - livening the lazy body of the racers due to intense heat.

Funny tasks who seems pretty simple at first look followed: blowing of flour right after the swim, puzzle games, completing two colors of the rubiks cube among others.

The racers went around all districts of Apopong, starting from Springview District (Purok Olaer), New Society District (Puroks 1 and 7 New Society), Lanton District (Puroks 1 & 6 Lanton), Sto. Niño District (Purok 4 Sto. Niño) and back to the Barangay Hall Compound for the final task.

A RACER's Night followed after the race which served as the awarding ceremony for the finishers. Racers, Organizers, Marshalls and supporters shared a meal thru boddle fight.

Congratulations to TEAM BBG for winning the APOPONG URBAN RACE 3!

Thank you racers for making Year 3 race memorable!
